Solid teak
Care for hand-carved teak
Teak develops a silver-grey patina outdoors and keeps its golden-brown tone indoors. Both are correct, both are beautiful.
- 01Indoor: dust weekly with a soft dry cloth. Avoid aggressive cleaners.
- 02Indoor oil: apply teak oil every 6 to 12 months for a warmer tone, leave untreated for a quieter matte finish.
- 03Outdoor: no treatment needed. Teak weathers to silver-grey naturally and is resistant to rain and sun.
- 04Outdoor refresh: if you prefer the original golden tone, sand lightly and reapply teak oil once a year.
- 05Stains: blot fresh stains immediately with a damp cloth. For older marks, lightly sand with fine-grit paper.
- 06Cracks: small surface cracks are normal as the wood adjusts to its new climate. They stop after the first year and do not affect strength.
