Frequently asked

Questions answered.

Most things you might want to know about our pieces, our process and what to expect when ordering. Anything missing? Drop us a line on WhatsApp.

How long is the lead time for a custom commission?

From first sketch to delivery, expect 10 to 16 weeks depending on size, finish and shipping route. We confirm exact timing in your quote, normally within 48 hours of submission.

Are pieces really one of a kind?

Yes. Every animal is hand-carved from a unique block of solid teak. Suarwood tables are cut from individual tree slabs, so grain pattern, live edge and dimensions are never identical between pieces.

Where do you ship to, and what does it cost?

We ship worldwide. Within the EU we work with insured pallet freight. Outside the EU we quote per piece based on size, weight and destination. Shipping costs are added to your quote.

Can I visit the office in Hengelo?

Yes, by appointment. Send us a WhatsApp or email and we will arrange a viewing. We can show pieces in stock and walk you through ongoing commissions.

Do you offer trade or designer discounts?

Yes, we work directly with interior designers and showrooms across Europe. Mention your trade in the contact form or commission brief and we will share our trade terms.

What is your return policy?

Stock pieces can be returned within 14 days of delivery in original condition for a full refund minus shipping. Custom commissions are non-refundable once production starts because each piece is made for you specifically.

How is the wood sustainably sourced?

Teak comes from Javanese plantations with long replanting cycles. Suarwood (Albizia saman) is fast-growing with a G5 sustainability rating, harvested at maturity from managed groves. We work directly with the makers, no chain of unknown intermediaries.

Can I order a piece in a specific size or pose?

Yes, that is exactly what the Design Yours wizard is for. Eight steps to describe your animal, size, pose, finish and context. We reply with a quote within 48 hours.

How should I care for my piece?

See our Care page for full guidance per material. Short version: keep teak dry indoors or treat for outdoor use, dust suarwood weekly, oil annually. We can also send a written care card with each delivery.

Do the pieces work outdoors?

Teak weathers gracefully outdoors and is naturally weather-resistant. Suarwood tables are designed primarily for indoor use, although they can sit on a covered terrace if not exposed to direct rain.
